First Lockhart Baptist Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

David Peyton

Senior Pastor

I am so blessed to serve as First Lockhart Baptist Church's Senior Pastor.  After serving for years in the worship ministry, God called me to preach.  He also called me back to school to prepare!  I finished seminary (the 2nd time) in December of 2019 and have been here in Lockhart since August of 2020.   

I absolutely love the people here at FLBC and every day here is a blessing to me and my family.  I love opening God's Word and seeing what He has to say to us week after week.  

I have been happily married to Wendy since 1996.  We have five children: Hannah, Marie, Jameson, Abigail, and Caleb.

Justin Eason

Student Pastor

My name is Justin Eason.  I am the Student Minister at FLBC and have been loving and discipling Lockhart students with my wife Tammi since 2009.  

I graduated from Wayland Baptist University and have an MDIV in Theology and Biblical Counseling from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  

Tammi and I have three daughters:  Taylor, Macie, and Emma.  I enjoy reading, especially J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis.  I also love to hike, play boardgames, and go to the movies.

Ramon E Rivera

Hispanic Ministries Pastor

I am excited to start this new journey with FLBC. In the last 20 years I have had the privilege to lead Worship Ministry, Youth Ministry, to serve as Associate Pastor, as well as Senior Pastor. I am grateful to serve now with FLBC as the Hispanic Ministries Pastor. I am a father of 3 amazing young adults and married to the love of my life for over 30years. With all that said, my goal is to reach and serve our community in English and Spanish. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

En los últimos 20 años he tenido el privilegio de dirigir el Ministerio de Música, Ministerio de Jovenes, Pastor Asociado y Pastor principal y ahora como Pastor de FLBC en Español. Soy el padre de tres hermosos jóvenes adultos y he estado casado durante 30 años con el amor de mi vida. Con todo esto mencionado mi deseo es servir a nuestra comunidad Hispana y anglosajona. Wendy Peyton

Children's Director

At the age of 2, we drove by a church building and I innocently asked my daddy what that was. He took it as a sign and we were in attendance the next Sunday. I was very blessed to grow up in a home where my dad was a deacon and both parents sang in the choir. At the age of 8, I walked the aisle to ask Jesus into my heart. 

My passion is to teach children about Jesus and how they can walk with Him. As a 3rd grade teacher, I get to show my love for them by letting them see Jesus in me. As the children’s director, I get to carry that love over to my church family.  I love First Lockhart and am excited to see God move.  

I have been married to Pastor David for 27 years and we have 5 amazing children.

Ana Espinoza

Nursery Director

I have had the blessing of growing up in church all my life and started showing interest in teaching Sunday School to children at a very young age. It brings me such joy teaching children about The Lord. Seeing their little faces light up when talking about the Bible is a blessing to me. I  started working for FLBC as a Nursery Worker in 2018, then  became the Pre-School Director in 2021. I also work full time for a Health Insurance Company.My hobbies include taking my son on trips and shows, crocheting, and anime. I love making baby blankets or stuffed animals for expecting mothers. You should definitely expect a lovely handmade present from me to welcome your little one.

Brad Peyton

Facilities Manager

I was blessed to grow up church, but I learned about having a relationship with Christ when I was 16 years old and was saved at summer camp that year.  

I retired from Travis County Sheriff's Office in 2017, and working and serving my church has been a desire and a calling that I have felt for quite some time.  I feel truly blessed to be part of the team here at FLBC.  

I am married to Nickey and we have a combined 4 adult children and 4 grandchildren.

Samantha Greenberg

Kitchen Coordinator

At the age of 16 God's relentless pursuit of my heart was won and I accepted Christ as my Savior. I am proud to say that He led me to not only becoming a member at FLBC in 2023, but also granted me the privilege to serve as the Kitchen Manager. I have always enjoyed cooking and prepping meals but there is something special about making them for 50+ people on a Wednesday night. Serving in the kitchen has really brought out a true passion in me!I am encouraged by this congregation and am eagerly waiting to learn more about all of you as you graciously volunteer with me. We have positions for prep, serving, and yes, even cleaning up is open!FLBC is my church home! When you see me around you will be accepted and treated as my family.
